Garland Home Insurance Quotes
Garland is one of the older housing markets in Dallas County, and that shapes everything about a homeowners policy here, from which carriers will write it to how water and roof claims get paid. We shop more than 56 insurance carriers and markets rather than one company.

"Two agents told me my house was too old to insure normally. Rainbow got it written with an A rated company for less than the surplus lines quote I had been handed, and added the sewer backup endorsement I did not know existed."

Garland Home Insurance FAQs
Carriers keep declining my 1960s Garland home. What are my options?
More than you have been told. Underwriting appetite for postwar housing varies enormously between companies, and we place these homes at standard rates regularly after homeowners were quoted surplus lines pricing. Documented roof, panel or repipe updates help considerably, so tell us what has been done.
Is water backup coverage worth adding?
In Garland it is one of the best values on the policy. Sewer and drain backup is not covered by default and needs a separate endorsement. Given the age of municipal lines here, the premium is small relative to how often the claim happens.
Do I need flood insurance if I am not in a flood zone?
It is worth pricing. Garland has genuine exposure along Duck Creek, Rowlett Creek and the Lake Ray Hubbard shoreline that varies street to street, and many properties that flood are outside mapped high-risk zones, where coverage is usually inexpensive.
Why was my water damage claim reduced?
Most likely a sublimit or a gradual-damage exclusion. Many Texas policies cap water damage below the dwelling limit and exclude long-term seepage, so a slow leak found months later falls partly or entirely outside coverage. We read those provisions before you buy.
